Position Title:  Senior Billing Specialist

Location:  Tysons, VA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Assignment Type:  Contract (3+ months, potential for extension)

Compensation: $35.00 – $45.00 / Hourly

Schedule:  Monday – Friday | Core business hours

Benefits:   This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision and 401(k) benefits.

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Billing Specialist to join the Billing & Revenue team within a dynamic, project-based environment. This role is focused on supporting billing and collections processes for government contracts, including invoice generation, reconciliations, and revenue management. The ideal candidate has strong experience in government contracting and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit accurate and timely invoices and credit memos
• Manage collections for assigned accounts, including follow-up on unpaid invoices
• Perform contract reconciliations and track funding requirements
• Ensure billing schedules align with contractual obligations and deliveries
• Maintain compliance with SOX controls and GAAP standards
• Collaborate with internal teams (contracts, legal, program management) to resolve billing issues
• Assist with ad-hoc reporting and special projects as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of experience in billing, revenue recognition, and GAAP compliance
• Government contracting experience is required (understanding of CLIN structure)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Must meet ITAR/EAR requirements (U.S. Person status)
