Description SUMMARY OF OVERALL PURPOSE The Events Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of Advancement events in partnership with Development and Marketing teams including individual giving, fundraising, sponsorship and corporate partnerships. This role will also collaborate across Give Kids The World to produce events that both bring our mission to life and create meaningful experiences.
Key Accountabilities Event Strategy & Planning - Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for signature events to maximize revenue, donor engagement, and mission awareness.
- Align event goals with organizational strategic priorities and fundraising objectives.
- Identify opportunities to innovate and elevate the Village’s event portfolio.
Event Execution & Logistics - Lead end-to-end planning, including budgeting, timelines, venue selection, vendor management, contracts, permits, and staffing.
- Ensure flawless execution of all logistical details to deliver a high-quality, guest-focused experience.
- Oversee production elements, including run-of-show, staging, A/V, décor, and guest experience touchpoints.
Revenue & Budget Management - Create and manage event budgets to maximize return on investment.
- Track expenses and revenue, ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficiency.
- Develop strategies to increase sponsorships, ticket sales, in-kind contributions, and overall fundraising outcomes.
Stakeholder & Partner Engagement - Build and nurture relationships with donors, corporate partners, vendors, and community stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure events effectively communicate the mission and impact of Give Kids The World Village.
- Engage new audiences and strengthen connections with existing supporters through dynamic, mission-driven experiences.
Teamwork & Leadership - Lead, coach, and mentor the Events Planner.
- Set performance goals, conduct evaluations, provide feedback and professional development.
- Foster a collaborative, positive team environment that values creativity, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OUTSIDE NORMAL WORK ENVIRONMENT - Ability to lift and transfer 25 lbs.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Willing to work many weekends and non-traditional hours as required by events and fundraising schedules.
Qualifications SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Proven experience managing fundraising events and donor engagement initiatives.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage and motivate external fundraisers and donors.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
- Ability to operate a motorized vehicle, including battery-operated golf cart.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must meet acceptable attendance and punctuality requirements, which are essential functions for the position.
- Bacherlor's Degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of two years relevant work experience or a combination of education and relevant work experience equal to six or more years.
- 2 years of event management or donor relations experience in a non-profit setting.
Preferred Requirements - Experience with Salesforce CRM for fundraising management and donor engagement.
- Professional certifications such as CFRE or event management certifications.
- Experience in third-party fundraising outreach and corporate sponsorship management.
